Day 1: Colombo to Vavuniya

Depart Colombo and drive north via the A9 highway. Overnight in Vavuniya.
Day 2: Vavuniya to Jaffna

Continue to Jaffna. Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, Jaffna Fort and Library. Overnight in Jaffna.
Day 3: Delft Island / Nagadeepa

Day trip by ferry — wild ponies, coral-wall paddocks, baobabs; optional Nagadeepa temple. Return to Jaffna for the night.
Day 4: Jaffna to Mannar via Talaimannar

Causeway to Mannar Island. Dutch Fort, baobab tree, Talaimannar lighthouse. Overnight in Mannar.
Day 5: Mannar to Trincomalee

Cross-country drive to the east-coast port. Evening at Nilaveli. Overnight in Nilaveli.

Drive south to Pasikuda calm-water bay. Overnight on the east coast.

Continue south past Batticaloa lagoon and Kalmunai to the surf town of Arugam Bay. Overnight in Arugam Bay.

Surf lesson at Main Point (seasonal: Apr–Oct), Pottuvil Lagoon wildlife safari (elephants, birds, crocodiles), optional Kudumbigala forest monastery. Overnight in Arugam Bay.

Long scenic drive across the island back to Colombo / Bandaranaike Airport, timed to your outbound flight.
